About this opportunity:
This Senior IS Business Systems Analyst role within Information Services (IS) reports to the IS Applications & Data Intelligence - Director and will support the implementation, integration, and sustainment of business application solutions at Paramount.
The IS Applications team is looking for an enterprising, diligent, collaborative, self-motivated individual to engage with business stakeholders to address business needs that require technology solutions. This role is also involved in the sustainment and governance of the IS applications portfolio and facilitating digital transformation initiatives.
Job functions will involve:
•Point of contact for business stakeholders in resolving application issues and requests
•Provide recommendations for solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology or utilization / optimization of existing technology
•Documenting the relationship between application system components (end users, processes, data, application, etc.) and translating business requirements into application requirements
•Support Paramount’s Operations policies, procedures and specifications through the adoption and configuration of applications
•Provide advanced technical and functional support on a wide variety of oil and gas business applications – including on-premise, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and Cloud applications
•Prepare and maintain technical documentation to guide system users and assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the systemollaborates with business stakeholders to identify and analyze business needs, conducting requirements gathering, and defining scope and objectives
+ Manage Application projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope
+ Develop, maintain, and revise proposals and milestones for assigned projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, timelines, funding, and resourcing
+ Establish and implement project communication plans, providing status updates to impacted users and stakeholders
Required Skills & Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred
•10+ years experience in Oil & Gas
•15+ years experience in Information Services
•Experience with a variety of Oil & Gas applications (i.e.: Qbyte FM, Execute, CS Land, Open Invoice, Maximo, GeoScout, eOne, etc.) and business intelligence/analytic tools (i.e.: Power BI, Spotfire)
•Experience with SQL and Oracle
•Implementing and managing applications in multiple platforms – on-premise, SaaS and Cloud (preferably AWS or Microsoft Azure)
•Experience in a technical leadership role (i.e.: Team Lead or Project Lead); experience with software implementation
•Experience in project leadership roles (i.e.: Project Lead); understanding of project management principles
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: able to interact and develop relationships with business stakeholders and subject matter experts; strategic thinker
•Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite
•Strong organizational skills to compliment multi-tasking, business acumen
•Analytical and problem-solving skills
•Business analysis and process modeling skills
