We are seeking a hands-on and visionary Senior HR Manager to build and lead our HR function across the branches. This role is ideal for a builder with private equity experience who thrives in fast-paced environments and can create scalable, people-centered processes that strengthen culture and performance at the branch level.
The Senior HR Manager will serve as a trusted partner to branch leadership, providing guidance on employee relations, people practices, and organizational development. This role requires someone who can balance designing HR programs with rolling up their sleeves to deliver them, while coaching leaders through change and growth.
- Own and lead core HR programs, policies, and initiatives across branch locations.
- Partner with branch leaders as a trusted advisor on employee relations, engagement, and performance.
- Implement change management initiatives to support integration, growth, and culture alignment.
- Design and manage performance management processes that drive accountability and development.
- Lead new hire orientation and onboarding programs to ensure consistency and cultural alignment.
- Provide coaching and counseling to branch managers and supervisors on leadership effectiveness and people challenges.
- Champion a “One Company” culture across branches, ensuring consistent application of policies and practices.
- Own and maintain the employee handbook and HR policies, ensuring compliance and clarity.
- Partner with branch leaders to act on employee engagement survey results and build morale.
- Manage HR systems (HCM) to improve branch-level reporting and data accuracy.
- Oversee employee relations matters, investigations, and documentation with integrity.
- Support labor and union relations where applicable; union experience is a strong plus.
- Provide HR leadership and support to branch managers, helping them grow as people leaders.
- Lead and mentor HR support staff (if applicable).
- Model professionalism, accountability, and values-driven leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a management role.- Private equity or high-growth company experience is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to build HR functions, systems, and programs from the ground up.
- Solid knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with HCM platforms (Workday, ADP, Paylocity, or similar).
- Union and labor relations experience a plus.
- Strong coaching, relationship-building, and conflict resolution skills.
- Track record as a trusted advisor to front-line and branch leadership.
- Strong people leader who inspires confidence and develops others.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
