Job Title: Senior Fundamental Analyst

Salary: $150,000.00 to $200,000.00 per year

Duties:

Responsible for the company's fundamental and market analytics, as well as providing support for evaluation modeling; collaborate with the commercial, M&A, and development teams to provide analytical and robust modeling to support decision making; develop, maintain, and store fundamental power curves (energy, capacity, ancillaries, and renewable energy tax credits (RECs) for existing and new projects and/or technologies; analyze the power markets and perform price movement and markets design simulations; prepare, present, and defend curves, fundamental analysis, and price outlooks to management and investors; develop models and dashboards to help visualize power market forecasts and fundamentals; monitor fundamental drivers such as policy, regulations, technology, renewable builds, retirements, transmission changes, and additional relevant market trends to identify opportunities and challenges, support in the evaluation and forecasting of power plant performance and economics; and support and own IT framework for fundamental curve construction to ensure efficiency, accuracy and auditability.

Minimum

Requirements:

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Energy Management, Engineering, or Computer Science plus five (5) years of experience in a related occupation performing each of the following: power market analytics, utilizing power market forecasting models including Aurora, Plexos, and Promod; modeling and market experience in key regional transmissions organizations and markets (including ERCOT, MISO, PJM, and ISO-NE); applying knowledge of data interaction and data frameworks, programming and database querying using Python, Alteryx, or SQL; and utilizing report building and visualization tools.
