The Senior Event Manager is the operational architect behind Omya’s experiential ecosystem.
This is not an “event planner” role. This is a portfolio leadership role responsible for designing, operationalizing, and executing20-30 events and experiences that meet Omya’s exacting standards of excellence and culture.
- Build the event operating system for the entire organization

- Build repeatable experiential templates while maintaining Omya’s creative magic
- Own the annual event calendar across ranch, global, and pop up/push trip experiences
- Build and manage the systems that enable Omya to scale our event and experiences
- Run planning cycles, cross-team standups, and event readiness meetings
- Align hospitality, ranch ops, programming, marketing, and production around shared timelines
- Own event budgets, forecasting, and financial stewardship
- Negotiate high-impact vendor contracts and build long-term strategic relationships
- Ensure every external partner meets Omya’s standards of excellence, presence, and professionalism
- Serve as the on-site leader for multi-day retreats and immersive experiences
- Direct staff and vendors with clarity, composure, and grounded authority
- Troubleshoot in real time, anticipate needs, and maintain emotional steadiness under pressure
- Protect the energetic and emotional integrity of the container at all times
- Create playbooks, checklists, communication tools, and scalable operating systems
- Lead post-event reviews and implement improvements across all experiences
- Optimize workflows across teams, increasing efficiency and decreasing operational friction
- Oversee complex safety planning, environmental considerations, and emergency protocols
- Partner with ranch operations and facilitators to ensure participant well-being
- Maintain high standards of risk mitigation for environments that are rural, global, and emotionally intensive- Experiences executed at 95%+ participant satisfaction
- Event portfolio delivered on time and under budget
- Playbooks and SOPs fully implemented across teams
- Vendor performance consistently exceeding expectations
- Reduction in event-day issues and logistical issues year over year
- Omya’s experiential quality increasing as volume scales- 7+ years leading multi-day experiential programs, retreats, festivals, or high-end events
- Proven experience managing complex logistics across locations, teams, and modalities
- Deep ability to stay calm, grounded, and solution-oriented under pressure
- Strong negotiation, budgeting, and vendor leadership skills
- Exceptional communication—clear, direct, calm, and proactive
- Comfortable working in rural environments, outdoors, and in emotionally charged spaces
- Proficiency in event/project management platforms
- Able to travel 35–45% of the year, including weekends during retreat cycles
- 35–40% travel required for retreats, site visits, team coordination, and onsite execution.
- Frequent multi-day travel to ranch and rural retreat locations.

- Lift 20–40 lbs and work long hours during retreat weeks.

- This is an in-person, on-site role based in Omaha with frequent travel to Craig, NE. Can you work on-site (not remote)?

- This role offers $90,000–$120,000 total compensation (base + bonus). Is this range acceptable to you?
