The successful candidate will join the Transmission Planning group as a transmission planning engineer. The core function
of Transmission Planning is to develop BC Hydro near-term and long-term transmission system plans to meet BC Hydro's
future business need of providing reliable, affordable and cost-effective electric supply services to the customers in BC as
well as ensure Mandatory Reliability Standard (MRS) compliance with NERC Transmission Planning Standards
(TPL-001-4) and WECC Planning Criteria.
Specific Duties:
system to identify potential system constraints, develop viable system reinforcement alternatives, and verify system
performance of the recommended solutions.
