The Senior Engineer, Project Manager will be responsible for verifying quality and technical requirements for projects, products, and service deliveries for Westinghouse – from bid phase and component design through manufacturing and delivery. Evaluate new and existing suppliers as requested by the Delivery Stream Manager to include interfacing with customers, manage multiple projects and reporting for opportunities related to AP1000, AP300, eVinci and other products within the Energy Systems Portfolio.
Your Day To Day
• Drive/Support Supplier Identification and down selection.
• Drive/Support completion of Supplier Audits and Technical Evaluations (as needed).
• Drive/Support completion of NDA/PIA negotiations (as needed).
• Lead Request for Quotation (RFQ) package creation (i.e., draft SAP requisition for RFQ including all technical and quality requirements).
• Lead Supplier Design Proposal / Compliance Matrix review meetings.
• Creating the Manufacturing and Process Plan estimates for use in design option selection or validation of cost and schedule.
• Executing Supplier Oversight Quality Assurance (QA) Technical Witness and Hold Points.
• Supporting the project management team to interface with Supplier Quality support organizations.
• Supplier Development & Management:
• Create Agendas and Lead Kick-Off meetings with Suppliers.
• Conduct regularly scheduled meetings (e.g., bi-weekly, weekly, etc.) with Supplier and Westinghouse Project Support Team Members.
• Manage/Drive Westinghouse Project Support Team Execution.
• Manage execution of required Supplier QA Witness and Hold Points.
• Hold pre-job briefs and/or kick-off meetings for important/critical PO manufacturing activities.
• Drive/Support Purchase Order (PO) Change Notices (as needed).
• Provide periodic Project Schedule Updates.
• Provide periodic Customer Status Updates.
• Ensure all required Supplier PO scope is complete, including fabrication, testing and documentation.
• Ensure the Westinghouse Quality Release (QR) has been completed to support shipment.
• Ensure the QR and associated Quality Assurance Data Package (QADP) have been archived in PRIME.
• Send QR/QADP to the site or customer (as defined by the project) after it has been archived in PRIME to aid in receipt and turnover of equipment.
• Work with Westinghouse Logistics to arrange for shipment. Complying with applicable procedures and standards and ensuring all standards and processes are adequately described in Level 2 and 3 procedures.
Who You Are
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Master's Degree preferred.
• 4+ years experience preferred in the Power Generation or Nuclear Industries but could be in any of the following industries: Oil & Gas, Pipelines, Refineries, Offshore Oil Production Platforms, Ship Building, Manufacturing Plants, Supply Chain, etc.
• Knowledge of programming software is a plus but not required.
• Fluent in English, secondary language skills a plus but not required.
• Willingness to travel to support emergent project issues/supplier development
