The Senior Electrician position performs all tasks and duties of an electrical discipline including but not limited to, installing or maintaining the variable speed /SCR drives, electrical wiring on miscellaneous equipment including but not limited to, generators, air conditioning, refrigeration, and alarm systems. The position is responsible for all drilling and support equipment pertaining to the drilling of the well including but not limited to, circulating, rotating, hoisting and well control systems.

•Understand, and adhere to, LO/TO and Permit to Work procedures.
•Download and Upload PLC programs.
•Read, analyze, and troubleshoot PLC Control Logics.
•Read, analyze, and troubleshoot VFD Control logics.
•Conduct wire splicing using approved cutting devices or cutting pliers and terminate connections to fixtures, outlets and equipment.
•Test circuit connections using electrical test equipment.
•Install, test, and maintain electrical equipment such as air conditioning, heating and refrigeration equipment.
•Respond to emergencies as requested and coordinate onsite activities to utilize resources to facilitate repairs in the most expedient and cost-effective manner.
•Install and repair lighting systems.
•Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment.
•Repair electrical equipment such as panel lighting, circuit breakers, junction boxes, voltage regulators and reverse current relays.
•Maintain electrical distribution panels for motor start and operations.
•Maintain alarm and video system.
•Install, calibrate and maintain gas detection equipment.
•Follow prescribed preventative maintenance schedule for all electrical equipment.
•Read and analyze electrical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals.
•Repair or replace defective or worn electrical parts.
•Use forward looking perspective to anticipate potential equipment malfunctions or failures and performs required repairs, adjustments or modification to resolve the problem.
•Coordinate with Maintenance Lead on the maintenance, repair and refurbishment of equipment.
•Collaborate with Maintenance team to schedule manpower and resources for the most effective productivity and timely completion of maintenance.
•Provide technical support for maintenance systems questions and problems; give advice and/or locate information to help solve rig site concerns.
•Ensure third party contractor’s work meets the quality, cost and safety standards required by the company
•Create Job requests and work orders as required and enter into maintenance tracking system
•Maintain and update asset tags for onsite equipment.
•Monitor spare parts availability/stocking and communicate re-order requirements to Customer Supply Chain Team.
•Submit requisitions to Rig Manager for approval.
•Maintain records of all electrical inventories and communicate suggested orders as required.
•Responsible for all other electrical equipment and systems on the WWRP that support the operation of the platform. This includes the main Power generators and distribution equipment.
•Ensure Client competency standards are applied and requirements followed.
•Perform additional duties, responsibilities, and special projects as may be directed.
