Company Overview:
We are a growing leader in the solar energy industry, specializing in solar panels, lithium batteries, inverters, and related technologies. Our primary focus is supporting off-grid solutions for RVs and manufactured housing. We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team on-site in Post Falls, Idaho, and help drive the innovation of new and industry-leading energy products.
Position Summary:
This is a hands-on, on-site role focused on the design, testing, and improvement of solar and energy storage systems. You’ll be a key contributor in developing cutting-edge products, collaborating with our in-house team, and occasionally working remotely when needed. Your work will directly impact the next generation of mobile and off-grid power solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
•Design and develop solar, battery, and inverter systems with an emphasis on DC-to-DC conversion
•Lead innovation efforts to create new and improved products aligned with market trends
•Work closely with engineering, design, and operations teams to ensure high-quality product development
•Review and create detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and product documentation
•Support integration of energy systems into RV and manufactured housing applications
•Conduct product testing and troubleshooting to ensure performance and reliability
•Ensure compliance with all safety, trade, and industry regulations
•Communicate effectively across departments and provide technical insight as needed
•Occasionally work remotely to support coordination with outside partners or teams
•Participate in light travel for field visits, supplier meetings, or testing purposes
Requirements:
•Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, but not required with significant real-world experience
•5+ years of relevant experience in solar energy, energy storage, or renewable systems
•Strong knowledge of DC-to-DC systems, power electronics, and battery integration
•Familiarity with lithium battery technologies and inverter systems
•Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
•Proficient in using electrical design and simulation tools
•Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.)
•Understanding of regulatory and compliance standards in electrical manufacturing
•Creative thinking and a passion for developing forward-looking energy products
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience in the RV, marine, or mobile power sector
•Background in embedded systems or power control firmware
•Hands-on experience with solar and battery testing in field or lab settings
