ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Lead, the role will be responsible for all aspects of oil and gas electrical engineering project scope, procurement activities, and for the mentorship of more junior/intermediate staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Perform required engineering calculations with in-depth knowledge and work experience in electrical heat tracing (EHT) and other design activities.
•Review and authenticate documents & deliverables.
•Mentorship of more junior/intermediate engineering resources.
•Develop and assure adherence to company engineering policies, procedures, and systems.
•Assure all work is delivered in manner that aligns with EPFC’s vision and business objectives.
•Assurance of quality for team deliverables.
•Work with other members of the engineering team and individuals from other divisions within the company to continually improve our integrated design and manufacturing processes and improve overall efficiency.
•Have input in and follow design methodologies and practices utilized by the team through all aspects of the project lifecycle, from concept to initial operations.
•Assist with proposal development, manhour estimates and generally support the Business Development team as required in the pursuit of new client and business opportunities.
•Participate in major reviews such as design reviews, 3D-model, HAZOP and LOPA meetings and manage resolution of action items.
•Liaise with other engineering disciplines, fab shop, and construction. Manage collaborative relationships with external stakeholders on a project basis.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
•Professional Engineer with bachelor’s or equivalent degree in electrical engineering including active memberships, in good standing status with both APEGA and EGBC are required.
•A minimum of 10 years of relevant electrical engineering experience with strong oil and gas background (such as gas plants, wellsite’s, oil batteries, liquid gathering and handling facilities). EPCM background is an asset.
•Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
•Strong hands-on capabilities in supporting field start-up, plant operation and troubleshooting of systems produced.
•Proficiency with engineering practices, codes, standards, and regulatory requirements pertaining to oil and gas industry.
•Experience in preparing electrical manhour estimates and development of proposals.
•Must be legally able to work in Canada.
