If you are a DISTRIBUTION and LOGISTICS leader looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Sidney, OH or St. Louis, MO locations, you will provide leadership to our North American HVACR distribution network. You will have direct responsibility for multiple distribution centers and logistics and strategic leadership for Copeland’s overall distribution footprint. This role ensures operational excellence, drives efficiency, and maintains high service levels for customers while aligning with corporate objectives. Your duties and responsibilities will be completed under the general guidance of the VP of Integrated Supply Chain.

As the Senior Director, Distribution and Logistics, you will:

- Develop and execute the business unit distribution strategy in alignment with company objectives

- Accountable for logistics, fulfillment, and transportation performance by leading through multiple site leaders, rather than direct daily management

- Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance service delivery and operational productivity

- Manage and develop relationships with third-party suppliers and customers

- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards

- Support the VP in long-term strategic planning and expansion initiatives

Required education, experiences & skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field plus a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive related experience, including leadership, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

- Strong verbal and written communication skills and professional presentation skills

- Ability to work effectively with various levels of the organization

- Exceptional customer service focus, including attention to producing quality results

- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and on a team

- Legal authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

- Ability to travel 25% of the time

Preferred education, experiences & skills

- Master’s in supply chain, Engineering or MBA

- Oracle warehouse management system experience

- Management experience

About our Location

The newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. This location is the headquarters for the air conditioning and cold chain businesses. Through our 30 years of scroll compressor expertise, our air conditioning related products help bring comfort and convenience in commercial, industrial and residential spaces. The cold chain business helps ensure that food safely and efficiently travels from farm to fork. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney, who all support a multitude of business functions. With the blend of businesses and functions represented under this one roof, there are many opportunities for advancement within the Sidney location.

Collaboration First Hybrid Work Arrangements:

This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration first mindset, which is the understanding that teams will work together in-person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs. You will have an opportunity to work with your team and leader to determine when you should be in office to drive meaningful connections and to best serve our customers.
