Senior Developer

The Nuclear Company is seeking an exceptional and highly experienced Senior Developer to join our team. The Senior Developer will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying robust data integration, analysis, and application solutions. This individual will be responsible for translating complex business challenges into effective solutions, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with the stringent regulatory requirements of the nuclear industry. You will also provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced developers, contributing to best practices and the overall success of our data initiatives. This role reports into the VP, Software Engineering. Responsibilities include solution design and development of complex data pipelines, data models, and analytical solutions; architecting and implementing scalable and secure data flows; developing custom applications, dashboards, and workflows; implementing robust data ingestion strategies; ensuring data lineage and auditability; providing technical guidance and mentorship; collaborating with business stakeholders to understand analytical needs; ensuring compliance with nuclear industry regulations; implementing data security measures; supporting audits; optimizing performance and troubleshooting technical issues. Experience required includes a Bachelor's degree in a related technical field, 6+ years in data engineering, software development, or data analytics, preferably in a highly regulated industry such as nuclear energy. Skills required include proficiency in Python (PySpark), SQL, cloud platforms, data modeling, governance, and security, along with strong problem-solving, communication, and mentorship abilities.
