Position Summary
Responsible for the design, specification, programming, simulation, testing, and site commissioning of rotating machinery control systems and SCADA systems. The Senior Controls Engineer will be involved in all stages of a project, from its design and conception through its development to eventual commissioning. A minimum of 6 years’ experience or knowledge in the power generation industry, specifically Gas Turbine Controls, is preferred, though other related experience would be considered.
As a Senior Controls Engineer, they will take on the role of Technical Lead on the larger projects and be responsible for training, supporting and reviewing the work of other Controls System Engineers working on the project.
Job Responsibilities
•Training, Supporting & Reviewing of Controls System Engineers work.
•Providing technical support to the Sales group.
•Evaluation of existing installed systems including Site Surveys.
•Control system design and programming.
•Development of Bill of Material (BOM).
•Communication network design.
•System documentation and manuals.
•Internal Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
•Customer witnessed Acceptance Tests carried out at HPI facilities (CAT).
•Hot-Loop testing of new systems.
•System Start-Up and put back in service.
•Life-Cycle support to customer.
•USA and international travel.
Require Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (electrical, mechanical, control systems, etc.).
•Experience in commissioning of industrial plant.
•Experience with Rockwell Automation and Allen Bradley based PLC/HMI hardware and software preferred.
•Experience or knowledge with Generator Control and Generator Protection Systems.
•Experience or knowledge with control panel design and testing.
Excellent communication verbal and written skills.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
