The Senior Business Development Manager will spearhead growth by cultivating strategic client relationships and expanding business opportunities across our diverse service lines. This role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of energy infrastructure markets, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to work and navigate cross-functional teams.
This is a travel-intensive role
—approximately
90% travel—with extensive time spent meeting clients, attending industry events, and visiting project sites.
- Strategic Client Acquisition
- Identify, target, and pursue business opportunities within identified markets to support our overall service offerings.
- Leverage existing relationships and networks to drive new business across operational regions.
- Proposal Development & Negotiation
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and finance teams to craft tailored proposals and bids.
- Lead contract negotiations, ensuring profitable and compliant agreements.
- Account Management
- Serve as a primary client liaison post-sale, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and facilitating potential expansions or referrals.
- Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Monitor industry trends, competitors, and regulatory developments.
- Develop strategies to position Delta Field Services as a leading provider in all service sectors.
- Cross-departmental Coordination
- Partner with Operations, Marketing, and Project Management teams to align pitching and delivery capabilities.
- Provide market feedback to influence service positioning and company growth.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Experience:
Minimum 5+ years in business development or sales within energy, surveying, industrial services, or similar sectors.- Demonstrated success in closing deals, securing MSA’s etc.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to blend technical knowledge with business insight.
