Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a Senior Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis to join our team!


Role Summary

The Senior Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis role is responsible for supporting Senior Management by providing budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and decision-making analysis for the Company.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include

Budgeting, Forecasting and Long-Range Planning. Executing the routine budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for the Company by participating in strategic planning sessions with senior management, projecting operational and financial performance, analyzing key strategic initiatives, and preparing presentations to management. Includes maintaining budgeting/forecasting files and inputs into budgeting/forecasting systems.
Variance Analysis. Preparing detailed variance analysis that benchmarks performance against budgets and forecasts and identifying potential areas for improvement.
Monthly Reporting. Preparing monthly reporting of operational and financial performance to Senior management.
Metrics. Monitor metrics to measure operational and financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
Internal Interactions. Work and communicate with various internal groups, including commercial, operations, corporate development, information technology, accounting, financial reporting and treasury.
Process Improvements. Assist with identifying process improvements, implementing changes and ensuring best practices.
And other duties as assigned.


Position Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline required.
Master’s Degree preferred.
6+ years related experience in finance, accounting or related finance disciplines, preferably with financial, planning & analysis experience.
Strong proficiency in variance analysis, financial budgeting/forecasting and presentations is required.
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint) is preferred.
Minimal travel, not to exceed 10%.

The successful incumbent must be a team player that is capable of thriving in a fast-paced transactional environment. He/she must be an inquisitive, business-oriented self-starter who enjoys project work, can multi-task and meet strict deadlines.
High-level analytical and quantitative skills are necessary.
Strong interpersonal skills with high level of maturity combined with excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required. The incumbent must also be organized, focused and articulate, with the ability to confidently interact with senior management, directors, etc.


Essential Functions

This position requires the ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or/quantitative productivity standards.
This role requires the ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
This position requires compliance with all personnel policies.


Physical & Safety Requirements

Must perform duties that require considerable use of arms and extended hours of sitting.
Required use of all ergonomically safe equipment in performance of job.
Normal office environment.
