About This Job

Turnkey Modular Systems designs, fabricates, and integrates modular process equipment and controls for the Biotech and Industrial markets. All process equipment and support structures are fabricated from stainless steel in a clean environment. Once designed and built, the systems are factory tested and installed on a client’s site.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Design 3D conceptual layout from process and instrumentation drawings (P&IDs) and create piping layouts for process modules.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•

Responsible for designing and modeling structural and piping components.

•

Produce detailed design drawings for fabrication; including general arrangement layouts, piping drawings, skid frames, support drawings, and pneumatics layouts.

•

Produce detailed bills of materials for procurement.

•

Update and detail P&IDs.

•

Prepare design calculations used in structural and piping layouts.

•

Responsible for reading and interpreting client specifications and drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements.

•

Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.

•

Provide support to the production and procurement departments to facilitate procurement of parts and oversee fabrication of modules.

•

Lead and participate in project meetings and design reviews with clients.

•

Review bid specifications from customers and participate in preparing proposals for new work.

QUALIFICATIONS:

•

A recognized degree or diploma relevant to field.

•

A minimum of 5 years of piping design experience.

•

Practical work experience in design engineering or piping/module layouts.

•

Excellent communication skills (Oral and Written).

•

Experience with Pro/Engineer, Solid works, and AutoCAD software.

•

Experience with modular equipment design, skids and layout.

•

Experience working under ISO9001 or CSA Z299 quality programs.

•

Experience with process equipment for Biotech, Nuclear, Water, or Industrial markets.

•

Experience with designing piping systems under ASME B31.1, B31.3, and ASME BPE.

•

Experience with designing structural components under CSA W59, AWS D1.1 or D1.6.

•

Knowledge of designing vessels under ASME Sect. VIII.

Pay: $105,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
