Location: Support, East Bank Demerara
Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 12 Hours/day
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring only authorized personnel, visitors and contractors enter.
•Enforce the company’s gate pass policy, verifying credentials for entry and exit.
•Conduct bag checks and contraband inspections as per security protocols.
•Monitor CCTV cameras to detect unauthorized access, suspicious activities or safety violations.
•Performing random alcohol testing as per company policy and reporting any non – compliance.
•Respond to security incidents and report concerns to management immediately.
•Greet visitors, clients and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
•Maintain a visitor log and ensure all guests sign in/out and receive visitor passes.
•Answer and direct incoming phone calls efficiently.
•Provide assistance and directions to visitors, ensuring they reach the right department/ personnel.
•Ensure all visitors and contractors wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) before entering the work areas.
•Issues PPE as needed, maintain proper records of PPE distribution and ensure they are in proper condition.
•Maintain direct communication with the QHSE and HR Departments regarding security and visitor- related issues.
•Report security incidents, safety violations or suspicious activities promptly to the QHSE Manager.
•Notify the HR/QHSE departments of visitor arrivals and assist in coordinating meetings or escorts.
•Any other duties assigned by the QHSE manager.
Requirements:
•Certification in First Aid and Security Guard License
•1 to 3 years of experience in Security/ Receptionist roles
•Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and Excel)
•Knowledge of security procedures and access control
•Security Awareness skills
•Customer Service and Communication skills
