Job Title: Security Guard
Reports To: Department Manager with direction from Team Leader
SHIFT/HOURS: 3 rd Shift Positions ( 5 PM-5 AM) -12-hour rotating 2-2-3 work schedule to include every other weekend.
Starting Pay: 22.08 per hour, with the ability to earn more.
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our Security team. This pivotal role will involve overseeing the security operations in a busy manufacturing environment, ensuring the safety and security of our premises, employees, and assets. The Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring and controlling access to the facility, including checking in and out of trucks, goods, and personnel. A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to identifying potential security risks is essential. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong ability to interact with both internal teams and external visitors. The role demands a high level of integrity and the ability to respond effectively to any security incidents or emergencies. The Security Officer will work closely with the management team to implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations. WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
•Monitor and control access points to the manufacturing facility, including the checking in and out of trucks.
•Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter and detect any unauthorized activities.
•Perform security checks on vehicles and personnel entering and exiting the facility.
•Respond promptly to alarms and security breaches and take appropriate action to mitigate risks.
•Collaborate with management and team members to develop and implement effective security protocols.
•Maintain accurate logs of security-related incidents, including visitor logs and patrol reports.
•Provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors while enforcing security policies.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
•Proven experience as a Security Officer or in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
•Knowledge of security protocols, safety procedures, and emergency response techniques.
•Strong observational and decision-making skills, with a keen attention to detail.
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear and effective reporting.
•Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations and during emergencies.
•Familiarity with surveillance equipment and security systems is a plus.
•Ability to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
•Must pass company background and drug screen.
