Job Purpose
A SEA Inspector is responsible for performing the NDT inspection method in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures. This position is responsible for ensuring that all materials inspected meet the quality standards set by SeAH Steel USA, LLC. This position will require working within the organization’s goals and team structure and contribution to the Overall Safety Program.
Duties & Responsibilities
•Calibrate and properly run SEA equipment.
•Organize and report results of SEA test.
•Accurately fill out/record applicable paperwork.
•Performs all applicable inspection functions to the requirements of ASNT SNT TC-1A and API and internal procedures.
•Provide training to other NDT inspectors.
•If he/she is certified with a level I, he/she needs to report to another Inspector level II for acceptance/rejection of material.
•Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Competencies
o High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
o 1 year of experience within the OCTG pipe inspection industry.
o Knowledge and experience within the OCTG pipe inspection industry.
o At least Level I certificate on SEA or MP. Level II certificate is preferred.
o Successful completion of pre-screen drug test and physical.
o Visibility of work requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Understands all applicable location safety rules and regulations and makes sure that all are being followed.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
•Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
•Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted on site.
•The ability to lift 25/50 pounds regularly.
•The ability to respond quickly to sounds.
•The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
•The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
•The ability to safely climb ladders while carrying 40 pounds.
•The ability to work in loud, hot environments/extreme weather while wearing required PPE.
•Ability to see 20-20 when corrected.
•Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
