Scrap Metal Technician

Job Summary

Universal Metal Recycling is seeking a hard working person for the position of Scrap Metal Processor in a metals recycling facility.

Responsibilities and Duties

Selected candidate will be tasked with general worker duties related to:

Grading scrap metal products

Operating baling machinery to bale aluminum scrap

Using floor scales to weigh, report, and transfer products

Loading shipping containers with finished product with Forklift if needed.

Sorting, preparing, and grading scrap metal products.

Using forklift to transport material on pallets and hoppers

Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

Requirements for the position include:

Experience in metal working, metal recycling, fabrication, or manufacturing preferred. Will train the worker.

Experience with operating a bobcat is a bonus.

Valid driver's license

Ability to work first shift
