Manufacturing Technician
Reports to: Plant Manager
General Description: To Manage and Maintain the E-coat and Pretreatment sides of the production line and provide mechanical solutions to general problems around the facility.
Education: HS diploma or GED required.
Training: Provided on the job and supplemented with external seminars/classes.
Skills: See “Key Competencies” section below.
Experience: None required. At least 3 years of production or maintenance experience in coatings preferred.
Specific Accountabilities:
1) Tank Management
•Tank parameters/setpoints
•Counter/overflow management
•Anolyte/anode management
•Ecoat General maintenance
•Changing all filter bags
•Ultra Filter System Management (CIP, bag filters, change elements, etc.)
•Manual Additions (paste, pigment, sulfamic acid etc.)
•Cured film thickness/appearance (ecoat only)
•UV & RO System Management/Maintenance
•Chemical Inventory Management
•Chiller & Rectifier Management & Oversight
2) Pre-Treatment System
•Other needed lab work (conductivity, ph, any other needed)
•Spray patterns adjustments
•Water Break/Accudyne testing
•Change Filter bags (stage 6)
•Chemical Inventory Management
3) Waste Water Management
•Adjusting PH per testing/requirements
•Recording ph results/additions/emptying to drain
•Pre-treatment waste monitoring
•Change filter bags as needed
•Chemical additions to alter PH as needed
•Monitor which tank is being used.
4) General
•General facility maintenance
•Cure and adhesion testing on all test panels – Jess to catalog
•Back up Powder Technician as needed (call off/vacation)
•Lab equipment calibrations

EMS Responsibilities:

•Follow EMS operational control work instructions
•Be aware of and comply with the company’s EMS compliance obligations and ensure that they are complied with by all personnel

•Participate in EMS internal audits
•Verification of Sewer Permit Compliance prior to dumping/draining

•Particpate in the processing of EMS nonconformances and resulting corrective actions when required
