Role Overview:
The Workday Application Security Analyst is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data within the Workday system. This position focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining security configurations—including roles, permissions, and access controls—to protect organizational data and ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
•Design and implement Workday security roles, domain security policies, and business process security configurations.
•Configure and manage access permissions to ensure appropriate user access across Workday modules.
•Ensure secure integration with other on-premise and cloud-based applications, including GRC tools.
•Maintain compliance with company policies, SOC 2 standards, GDPR, and other regulatory frameworks.
•Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement.
•Investigate and respond to security incidents, determine root causes, and implement preventative measures.
•Collaborate with IT, HR, and business stakeholders to align security controls with organizational goals.
•Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for security procedures and configurations.
•Provide user training on security best practices and Workday access policies.
•Stay current on Workday updates, security trends, and threat intelligence to drive continuous improvement.
•Exposure to additional ERP systems such as SAP is preferred.
•Familiarity with Workday SoD (Segregation of Duties) management and GRC integration is highly desirable.
Required Skills & Experience:
•7–10 years of hands-on experience in Workday security implementation and administration.
•Strong understanding of Workday ITGC (IT General Controls) compliance requirements.
•Experience with Workday risk management and GRC integration.
•Proficiency in tools and platforms including:
•SAP ERP (S/4HANA a plus)
•SAP functional areas (Finance, MM, ISU billing, etc.)
•SAP audit and compliance frameworks
Education & Certifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
•Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $80.62 - $84.15 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
