$129,500 - $194,300, plus 10% annual bonus

The SAP Principal IT Engineer in the NiSource IT department supports the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions for various products and platforms. This role involves working on an agile product and platform teams that requires hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and collaborating within cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. The Principal IT Engineer will need in depth knowledge of SAP with deep technical experience implementing SAP systems. In this role specific working knowledge of SAP BTP is paramount. The SAP Principal IT Engineer will also need solution-oriented skills, be able to design system architectures, and publish and follow architectural standards.
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Technical Support: Assist in the design, development, and implementation of solutions for assigned technical product/platform
- Solution Development: Develop and implement solutions that enhance the functionality and performance of assigned products or platforms
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and stakeholders, to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions
- Code/ configuration Review and Quality Assurance: Participate in reviews and ensure that solutions meet quality standards and best practices
- Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve technical issues, providing support and maintenance for existing systems
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to contribute to innovation and continuous improvement in platform solutions
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience - 10+ years of IT product or platform engineering or software development experience - 5+ years of experience in Salesforce development - 5+ years of experience in SAP development - 5+ years of experience building and managing integration using APIs and Mulesoft
