Role Description:
M&W Precast LLC is seeking a Sales Representative to join their Buildings division! The Building Salesperson will provide technical and sales assistance to Clients (both Engineers and Contractors) from inception of design concept through sales contract.
This position requires the ability to create building designs, understand project documents, perform quantity takeoffs, and along administrative responsibilities. This individual will review bid documents to determine scope of work and required components thru an understanding of construction materials and processes.
General Responsibilities and Duties:
•Responsible for handling multiple projects concurrently
•Ensure drawings, blueprints, specifications, and any data are accurate prior to cost estimating projects through communication and design.
•Reviews sales proposals to ensure proper estimating and staffing requirements, time frames and subcontracting opportunities
•Calculate and prepare material and work item quantities (take offs) based on project requirements.
•Prepare material pricing, labor production analysis, equipment pricing, delivery expenses, timing of product requirement, and other potential cost elements that may impact the estimate.
•Produce quotations using MS Word and Excel programs, as well as other project related documents
•Bid/Estimate Support: Use MS Outlook and OneDrive programs to communicate with subcontractors and distribute electronic plans and specifications. Organize bid documents. Manage flow of bid info (addenda, Requests for Information (RFI), etc.) between designers and subcontractors. Perform quantity takeoffs. Collect and organize subcontractor bids. Maintain bid calendar.
•Conducts site visits and works with the Client to ensure that all issues and needs which arise from the point of sale to completion of the project are resolved promptly.
•Upon project assignment, shares responsibility with the project manager to hold a kickoff meeting at the point of sale to ensure all needed information and paperwork are complete; that the scope of work is clear; review the estimate and confirm values for all items; prior to the process of scheduling the project.
•Develop an environment that encourages quality product and service to the customer.

Required Skills/Abilities:
•Demonstrated ability to handle several small to large complex projects simultaneously.
•Proven ability to develop relationships and to work with design teams as both a leader and a participant.
•Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
•Basic knowledge of MS OneDrive and One Note.
•Effective interpersonal and communication skills; building rapport, listening, presenting, giving, and receiving feedback.
•Exhibit visuo-spatial ability of imaging 2d or 3d objects.
•Ability to read and review engineering drawings and documents.
•Strong organizational and verbal communication skills
•Skill at written communication and documentation
•Strong work ethic and high standards for safety in the workplace.
Education and Experience:
•Associate degree with 5 years of related experience, ideally within the construction or precast concrete industry
•Previous estimating or sales experience, preferred.
