Sales Manager - Base Salary +Commissions

Eck Plastic Arts, a custom manufacturer with an expertise in processing plastics for original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s), is seeking to hire a goal oriented, self-motivated Sales Manager in Binghamton NY. Eck Plastic Arts is actively growing its three main manufacturing capabilities, Plastic Injection Molding, Thermo-forming, and Fabrication. This position has a competitive base compensation including a full benefit package.

Responsibilities:

This job description is a general guideline of the responsibilities and duties of the Sales Manager position. The employee may be asked to perform additional task or duties as deemed necessary by management. The goal of the position is to continue the existing growth trends through the following responsibilities.

- Management of existing customer relationships.

- Find and manage new opportunities from existing and new prospects.

- Develop and call on target prospects.

- Manage and call on inbound leads.

- Support existing outside manufacturing representatives.

- Find additional outside sales representatives.

- Work closely with the President to develop a marketing strategy and budget.

Qualification requirements

Bachelor’s degree is required.

- Minimum 2 years previous sales experience.

- Good communication, organizational, time management, mathematical skills.

- Ability to work independently.

- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle. Employee will be reimbursed for work related travel miles.

- Progress will be tracked by logging sales calls and performance goals.

Working Environment

- The position will have a mild amount of travel, most of which will be day trips.

- It is expected that the sales manager will exhibit at a minimum of two trade shows per year, and have some but minimal overnight travel outside of the trade shows.

- Outside sales manager will be required to speak intelligently with our customers and prospects engineers, and commodity managers.
