Client Relations
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Answer and route all incoming calls.
- Manage new and existing accounts, varying in size.
- Act as liaison and single point of contact for general inquiries to CROFT Surplus.
- Build relationships with key decision makers.
- Close sales by building an effective rapport with customers; expand product and service capabilities; overcoming objections; prepare contracts.
- Call prospective customers and establish buying cycles to fulfill customer needs; create a customer supplier relationship.
- Ability to effectively communicate, negotiate and ensure business outcomes.
- Initiate sales process by scheduling appointments/meetings.
- Grasp customer’s needs and process request through CROFT’s distribution channels. (May require putting together effective and strategic presentations to present to customers).
- Continuance education on new products and services; report any general information of interest of customers.
- Identify prospects/leads; generates sales, while ensuring business segment growth and service maintaining the targeted retention rate and sales goals.
- Open service tickets; communicate service needs through CROFT’s distribution channel.
- Follow-up and close service tickets upon meeting customers needs.
- Act as a resource to clients in contract opportunities and proposals.
- Respond to client requests and questions in a professional and knowledgeable manner; multi-task and remain detailed and organized; Must be able to resolve internal/external customer issues in a prompt and professional manner.
- Ability to negotiation/renegotiate contracts, closing the sale and developing marketing plans for contract accounts.
- Perform job in a safe manner and ensure a safe workplace to include reporting unsafe work conditions and safety violations. Must be able to consistently take and pass all safety and sales training programs.
- Ensure full compliance with company policy and/or but not limited to federal, state, and local laws; plus follow any regulations related to job functions.
Educational/Training/Experience
Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related; Experience can be substituted for degree on a 1:1 basis.
License/Certification
None; however, Certified Sale Professional and PEC SAFELand Certification desired.
Required Experience
- Able to work both in a team and independent environment.
- Two years in customer service and/or public speaking role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, plus able to use/learn to use other in-house technology.
- Maintain confidentially of company/client information.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach for generating new ideas with the principles of continuous growth and improvement.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License as required to drive on company business.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and completely.
- Ability to overcome customers’ objections.
- Maintains professional appearance and demeanor.
- Self-starter with a positive, optimistic attitude.
