Sales Application Engineers develop and review contract bids for projects based on what the client needs. As a Sales Application engineer, you gather supporting documentation to make the proposal more competitive. You determine costs and timelines and may outline a variety of factors that may increase or decrease them.
- Defines the correct technical solution for received RFQs, evaluates different strategic options for the bid, and selects the ideal bid strategy.
- Communicates with customers in conjunction with the sales team during the bid preparation and clarification process.
- Approves proposals as required.
- Creates the proposals and cost estimation sheets.
- Reviews technical and commercial teams of customer RFQ's and RFP's.
- Logs RFQ information into CRM software and registers the receipt of request for quote from customers and returns any response forms.
