Position Overview
The Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs and procedures for DDGrid’s Midwest Division. This role is critical in fostering a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and protecting the health and well-being of our employees and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain safety policies and procedures tailored to electrical utility operations.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Provide safety training and onboarding for field and office personnel.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other relevant safety regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers and field supervisors to integrate safety into daily operations.
- Maintain safety records and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related matters in the Midwest Division.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of safety management experience in the electrical utility or construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and electrical safety practices.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel to job sites across the Midwest region.
- Certifications such as CSP, CHST, or OSHA 30/500 are highly desirable.
