- Salary Range $145,000.00-$165,000.00/annuallyWork Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6am-2:30pm (Extended hours, early show up and weekends as needed)*
Reporting Structure: Reports to – General Manager, CEO and Superintendents Location: Daily Show Up Location: Chico, CA 95928
Construction project sites and facilities are located throughout Northern California when Job Site visits are needed.
Locations currently: Paradise, Magalia, Cohasset, Forrest Ranch, Greenville, Placerville, Central Valley, Bay Area, Washington, CA.
Additional locations and existing locations do vary. Travel required.
- Manages Incident/Accident Response and delegations
- Communications with Hiring Clients and Subcontractors for all Safety Calls.
- Identify safety concerns for corrective actions and oversees implementation on new procedures
- Assign and track progress of Subcontractors Safety Practices
- Support and maintain Company Safety Standard with Jobsite Safety
- Assist in creating Safety Policies and Procedures and updating those in place
- Advise on unsafe working conditions, unsafe procedures, negligence or violation of safety policies
- Enforce OSHA Standards and procedures
- Remain Compliant in accordance with CalOSHA, IIPP, PG&E Standards and IBEW 1245 Redbook
- Oversee investigations and Cause Evaluations
- Instill mitigations for all safety concerns for Company and Subcontractors.
- Attend Job Site Pre-Construction meetings, ensuring PSSP and Kick-Off’s include Job Site Safety expectations.
- Complete Job Site Audits for Company and Subcontractor Compliance on a weekly basis.
- Attend weekly safety meetings held at headquarters and in field
- Create and maintain a weekly schedule for Jobsite Visits, ensuring compliance with company requirements.
- Manages all Incident Responses and Reporting with Safety Department (including Cause Evaluations)
- Oversees and directs Safety department on all OSHA, PG&E and Company Standards/Policies/implementations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (previously named Qualifications):
- Must have a valid driver’s license, and able to pass a background check
- Must Pass (negative result) a Pre-Employment Drug test, in accordance to AB 2188 (we are considered a Construction Contractor for means of applicability)
- Certification with BCSP: SMP Certification
- Proficient in Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Knowledge with ISNetworld, ITS/OQ Qualifications, PG&E Standards and IBEW 1245 Red Book
- Experience with Overhead and Underground Electric Utility Construction
- Field experience in construction, comfortable around equipment, jobsites, and the safety hazards they present.
- Reliable means of transportation to headquarter and able to meet daily requirements of scheduling at minimum.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, workers' compensation laws, and environmental regulations (EPA).
- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Experience in conducting root cause analysis for workplace incidents
- Working knowledge of injury prevention, compliance, and risk reduction techniques.
- OSHA 30 construction certificate
- OSHA 10 (ET&D Preferred)
- Must have current (within 1 year of hire date) First Aid, CPR & AED certifications, must be able and willing to lead in an emergency event.
- Competent Person: Electrical safety-NFPA 70E, Excavation, Fall protection and Confined space
- Self-driven, willing to work alone or as part of a team on assigned tasks and initiatives.

- Indoors and outdoors, may be subject to changes in temperature and noise. While outdoors, may be subject to construction site conditions, confined spaces, changes in temperature, extreme ambient weather conditions and noise levels.
- This job also requires operation in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- Frequent lifting, sitting, standing, stooping for prolonged periods of time, using hands/fingers requiring dexterity, should have good hand-eye coordination and motion control in coordination with handling tools, equipment, and other related
