Retail Cashier Floater

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Floating Cashier to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service, accurately processing transactions, and helping to create a positive and efficient shopping experience for all customers. As a Floating Cashier, you will work across multiple store locations and must be available for a variety of shifts, including morning (6:30 AM – 2:30 PM), evening (2:15 PM – 10:15 PM), and occasionally mid-day shifts (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM). Your flexibility, reliability, and commitment to excellent customer service will be essential in ensuring each customer feels welcomed, valued, and well taken care of.

Responsibilities

- Float between various store locations as assigned, adapting quickly to different teams and environments.

- Work flexible shifts including early mornings (6:30 AM – 2:30 PM), evenings (2:15 PM – 10:15 PM), and occasional mid-day shifts (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM).

- Greet customers warmly and create a friendly, welcoming environment.

- Accurately process sales transactions using POS systems, including cash, debit and credit.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area.

- Provide prompt and professional assistance to customers with questions, concerns, or returns.

- Ensure compliance with store policies and procedures, including cash handling and loss prevention.

- Balance cash drawers and complete closing procedures accurately at the end of each shift.

- Report any customer issues, discrepancies, or operational concerns to store management promptly.

- Assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees.

Requirements

- Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred.

- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.

- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong customer service orientation with an emphasis on positive interactions.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
