Residential Plumbing Apprentice

The Company:

MGM Energy is a contractor specializing in HVAC, plumbing, energy conservation, and electrical services. We also participate in the Energy Saving Assistance Program sponsored by Southern California Edison, Southern California Gas Company, Southwest Gas, and Bear Valley Electric.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Apprentice to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential plumbing installations, storage water heaters, tankless water heaters, and heat pump water heaters.

The Plumbing Apprentice must understand and comply with all program guidelines and county and local codes while installing appliances. Additionally, the candidate should be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and interpret schematics.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Complete certification training or any other required training

- Achieve daily production targets.

- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Ability to help Install storage water heaters, tankless water heaters, and heat pump water heaters.

- Interpret schematics accurately.

- Arrive on time for scheduled appointments and come prepared.

- Possess the appropriate tools to complete jobs effectively.

- Maintain accurate customer records, files, forms, and paperwork.

- Stay informed about program requirements and industry standards.

- Maintain a positive relationship with customers, staff, and utility company representatives.

- Participate in the routine meetings, workshops, and training as directed by the Supervisor.

- Uphold and represent the company's excellent image during work hours.

- Have a minimum of 1 year of experience in the plumbing industry.

Requirements:

- Must possess a valid California Driver's License.

- Must have a clean driving record

- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a plumbing apprentice.

- Strong communication skills are required.

- Basic computer skills are necessary.

- Spanish speaker is a Plus

- 2 years of experience with the ESA Program is preferred.

- Must pass a seven-year background check

- Must pass a drug test.

The Location:

Apple Valley, CA (High Desert and Antelope Valley Area)

Job Type:

Full-time (Year-Round)

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 7:00 am-4:00 pm (overtime as needed)

Compensation:

$18.00-20.00 per hour
