Role Profile
We are seeking an experienced and self-directed research platform and solutions DevOps enabler to support the transition of data science and analytics research into scalable, secure, and compliant production systems. This role is part of our Data & Analytics Division and is key to establishing enterprise-grade DevOps practices that align with financial services industry standards and firm wide policy.
The successful candidate will work with data scientists and financial data modelers, understand the PoC research models and products, set up the ML DevOps architecture and cloud enablement process, with a focus on Azure, and work with the product team and engineering team via hands-on involvement in migrating workloads from AWS to Azure.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting research modelling activities, translate the PoC model development into formal testing and production deployment of data-driven applications
- Lead efforts to work with product/engineering teams to migrate research team ML DevOps workflows and data pipelines from AWS to Azure, ensuring minimal disruption and high operational integrity
- Integrate and manage tools and services across Azure DevOps, Azure ML, Azure Functions, Azure Key Vault and other services
- Support the operationalization and lifecycle management of Snowflake-based data systems within cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to deploy machine learning models and analytics workloads using tools like Azure ML and Databricks
- Establish and document cloud security, governance, and compliance controls in collaboration with enterprise architecture, risk, and IT security teams
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud environments, optimizing for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
- Provide research production enablement, knowledge transfer, and process documentation across the research, analytics and engineering teams when necessary
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in stem field, preferably computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform operation services, research mindset is required- Experience with data modeling, particularly Snowflake, including DevOps integration and role-based access control
- Deep hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure services and MLOps, as well as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure networking and security services. Proficiency with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure automation (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates)
- Strong knowledge of setting up CI/CD automation, Git-based workflows, scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python), and DevSecOps practices
- Proven experience with AWS-to-Azure cloud migrations, including workload planning, configuration, and post-migration optimization
- Familiarity with enterprise security policies, cloud identity management (Azure AD), and financial data governance standards
- Experience working in environments requires strong collaboration with data scientists, engineers, and compliance stakeholders
Compensation/Benefits Information:
LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $147,700 - $246,300.
Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/”bonus plan”). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience.
