We are currently seeking an experienced Remote Operations Specialist to join our Measurement While Drilling (MWD) team.
Job Summary:
The Remote Operations Specialist – MWD will play a critical role in overseeing and supporting MWD operations remotely. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in MWD operations and a strong understanding of tools, software, and systems commonly used in the industry. Experience with DigiDrill and Erdos Miller tools is required. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to make data-driven decisions in real-time.
- Monitor and support MWD operations remotely, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to operational standards.
- Analyze real-time and recorded MWD data to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to MWD equipment and software in collaboration with field teams.
- Utilize DigiDrill and Erdos Miller software for data processing, analysis, and reporting.
- Provide guidance on tool configuration, calibration, and operational best practices.
- Maintain detailed documentation of operations, troubleshooting steps, and lessons learned.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in MWD technologies and techniques.
- Extensive experience in MWD operations, including tool setup, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in interpreting and analyzing MWD data, including gamma ray, azimuthal gamma, inclination, azimuth, and other directional data.
- Knowledge of DigiDrill and Erdos Miller software; hands-on experience is required.
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and collaborate with geographically dispersed teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with directional drilling concepts and downhole tool dynamics is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in MWD operations.
- Experience with DigiDrill and Erdos Miller software.
