Reliability Lead Engineer - Asset Strategy and Engineering

As our Lead Reliability Engineer, you'll be the driving force behind cutting-edge asset integrity strategies across North America. This role is tailor-made for a dynamic innovator who thrives on tackling complex challenges, collaborating with diverse teams, and making a tangible impact on site operations.
What will you do?* Innovate and
Lead: Develop and implement strategies to ensure our assets operate at peak performance, from rotating machinery to pressure vessels and piping systems.
•Collaborate and Influence: Work closely with the Asset Strategy and Engineering team, Operations, Maintenance, and Asset Integrity teams to maintain long-term asset health and achieve operational goals.
•Global Impact: Partner with our South America team to share and align best practices, driving innovation across borders.
•Create and Sustain: Develop new processes, programs, and tools to guide the organization towards improved asset reliability, and help sites implement these strategies effectively.
•Safety First: Consistently make safety personal and ensure workplaces are safe. Review and authorize work permits, develop lock-out-tag-out plans, and do not perform unsafe work. Prioritize safety in all tasks.

•Collaborative Leader: Partner with maintenance planning teams to develop key field service maintenance scopes for regular maintenance and annual turnarounds, fostering a collaborative environment. Align with industry best practices for teamwork and leadership.
•Asset Health Management: Create, deploy, and execute asset maintenance strategies, monitor results, and continually refine and improve asset health management with precision and quality. Follow industry standards for asset management and reliability engineering.
•Field Supervision: Assist in supervising field service contractors, ensuring high standards and timely completion of tasks, while maintaining a safe working environment.
•Audits and Inspections: Conduct thorough audits and inspections to maintain compliance and operational excellence, reflecting our commitment to safety and diligence. Adhere to industry standards for compliance and quality assurance.
•Global Collaboration: Collaborate with our South America team to share and align best practices from that region, promoting a culture of care and transparency. Follow industry standards for global collaboration and knowledge sharing.

What you’ll need:
Educational Background:* Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
Experience:* Proven experience in mining and manufacturing maintenance Engineering.
•Familiarity with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
Skills:* Excellent written and communication skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of management.
•Strong leadership qualities and team-building skills.
•Ability to influence others effectively.
Technical Expertise:* Working knowledge of mechanical systems, including rotating machinery, pressure vessels, and piping systems.
•Experience with maintenance and operation of mechanical infrastructure in industrial settings.
•Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies (vibration analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasonic testing, motor circuit analysis, oil analysis).
•Proficiency with mechanical system modeling and analysis tools.
•Knowledge and experience with instrumentation related to mechanical systems.
•Working knowledge of relevant mechanical codes and standards for US and Canadian sites.
•Familiarity with safety regulations and standards for mechanical systems in mining operations.
Certifications:* Eligible to be registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) for Canadian sites.
•CMRP (SMRP certified maintenance reliability professional), CRE (ASQ certified reliability engineer), CRL (AMP certified reliability leader), or CSSBB (ASQ certified six sigma black belt) certification (an asset).
Software Proficiency:* Proficiency in MS Office products.
•Experience with CMMS, SAP S4 Hana (or similar software).
Additional Skills:* Facilitation experience with RCM and FMEA (an asset).
•Development experience with PM procedures (an asset).
