PO&G Resources is a rapidly growing, twenty-six-year-old private oil and gas company located in the Galleria/Uptown area of Houston, TX. With the ongoing expansion of our operations across multiple areas in the US , the company is seeking a key individual to fill the position of Regulatory and Production Assistant in our Houston office.
The Regulatory and Production Assistant will work alongside an experienced team in the Environmental, Health, Safety, Regulatory and Production Department, providing support to PO&G’s efforts to maintain compliance with state and federal rules and mandates.
The successful candidate will have a broad range of responsibilities including:
Assist with processing various compliance documents to state and federal agencies
Assist with gathering data from Engineers, Field Foreman, or other departments for submissions to agencies, contractors, or other company staff
Assist with daily entry of data into production database
Develop an understanding of compliance test procedures and interpreting their results
Assist with implementing, maintaining, and updating a standard digital file structure for the department
Work closely with Environment and Regulatory team to identify project priorities
Assist with clerical functions as needed by the department
Associates degree preferred
Oil and gas experience preferred
Strong interpersonal and analytical skills. Ability to work well in a collaborative environment
Self-starter who can proactively manage the job functions and proactively communicate with management
Practical and pragmatic approach to problem solving; hands on worker
Well organized
Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
Ability to work 5 day a week in the office
Must be able to pass background check and drug screen
PO&G acquires conventional and unconventional oil and gas properties and increases their value by improving operations such as artificial lift, water flood optimization, and vertical infill drilling. The company's current oil and gas properties are located in: Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Kansas, Indiana, Wyoming, North Dakota, Utah and Mississippi. West Texas, Indiana, and Oklahoma are the company's largest operating regions. Current gross / net production is 5,000 / 3,500 BOE/D. The company plans to continue its historical growth rate by doubling production every three years.
