Recycling Warehouse worker: job summary

Perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, loading and unloading trucks, and managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse. You will also be responsible for sorting, palatalizing and moving small and large items including tv’s, computers, and other assorted electronics. Forklift and pallet jack will be used for processing materials. Forklift training will be provided onsite if needed.

Valid Driver's license is required for this position

- Work with a warehouse team of 2-4 individuals

- Assist in receiving and unloading trucks and sorting incoming materials

- Assist customers in offloading items to be processed in the warehouse

- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards

- Take payments from customers

- Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat

- Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times

- Wear the proper safety equipment

- Use forklift to load, unload, and process materials

Qualification requirements

- Strong interpersonal/leadership skills

- Forklift certification is a plus but not required

- Good communication, organizational and time management skills

- Valid Driver's licence

Physical demands and abilities

- Regularly lift and/or move objects 50-70lbs and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs with assistance

- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch

- Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance

- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.

Schedule

- Monday - Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

- Occasional Saturdays will be required during our event season. If you are required to work on a Saturday, you will be given an additional day off during the week so you still have 2 days off per week.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
