Dead River Company is hiring a Recruiter to help us attract and hire top talent across our 5-state region! If you’re passionate about building pipelines, collaborating with managers, and creating an outstanding candidate experience, we want you on our team.
- Ensure the recruitment and selection process is behaviorally based, aligned with DRC core competencies, and supports our employment brand.
- Manage recruitment for multiple openings and assist hiring managers throughout the hiring process, maintaining a long-term, pipeline-focused approach.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to determine staffing needs, focusing primarily on Seasonal Drivers, Full-time Drivers, Driver Trainees, Service Technicians, and Service Technician Apprentices.
- Review and update job descriptions as needed to ensure they accurately reflect essential functions, tasks, and qualifications.
- Utilize the Applicant Tracking System (UKG) to monitor applicant flow, ensure timely responses, and train hiring managers on effective technology use.
- Post job opportunities, increase applicant flow, and leverage diverse recruitment strategies including online job boards, social media, grassroots outreach, and in-person career events. Continuously explore innovative methods to attract top talent.
- Screen candidates via phone and WebEx interviews to assess qualifications, creating a pool of well-qualified candidates for current and future needs.
- Coordinate interview schedules between applicants and hiring managers, ensuring a smooth and timely process.
- Maintain clear communication with candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruitment process to deliver a positive experience.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to evaluate candidate status and provide informed recommendations for hiring decisions.
- Provide pay recommendations based on candidate experience and established wage ranges and extend job offers for both exempt and non-exempt positions.
- Perform reference checks to validate candidate qualifications and maintain hiring standards.
- Travel across our 5-state region as needed to attend job fairs, career events, build relationships with talent sources, and support onboarding efforts.
- Minimum 2 years of recruitment experience required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to foster collaborative and effective relationships across functional areas.
- Solid planning, scheduling, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Minimum intermediate-level proficiency with MS Office.
- Desire to exemplify DRC’s cultural philosophies and core values.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
