Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials and products within the facility. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety protocols, and effective materials handling.

Responsibilities

- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks to load and unload materials from trucks and containers.

- Conduct order picking using RF scanners to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders.

- Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all products are accounted for and properly stored.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to OSHA safety standards.

- Assist with inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting discrepancies.

- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.

- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.

- Engage in heavy lifting tasks as necessary, ensuring safe handling practices are followed.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in warehouse distribution or materials handling is preferred.

- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts, cranes, and order pickers.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.

- Experience with warehouse management systems is a plus.

- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.

- Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes is beneficial.

- A valid forklift operator certification is required; OSHA training is a plus.
