We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Coordinator to join our global team. This position will be based in Houston, Texas with a focus on developing, implementing, and maintaining our Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with all applicable regulatory, industry and client requirements. The Quality Coordinator will oversee documentation, control standards, and ensure consistent adherence to ISO 9000 standards across our manufacturing processes. This position requires experience in quality management, and a strong technical foundation in manufacturing and quality assurance.
- Develop and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to achieve and maintain ISO 9001 certification.
- Ensure compliance with applicable U.S. and international import/export regulations.
- Conduct regular audits to maintain ISO compliance and drive quality improvements.
- Lead internal audits and support external audits by customers, certification bodies, and government agencies.
- Manage audit findings and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to align quality systems with business goals.
- Coordinate creation, review, and maintenance of procedures to meet internal, industry, and ISO standards.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement using lean and quality best practices.
- Train employees on QMS procedures and quality standards.
- Support QMS initiatives and investigations across departments.
- Oversee document control to ensure accurate, compliant, and accessible records.
- Track quality performance metrics and implement initiatives to reduce defects and improve customer satisfaction.
- Implement and manage visual tools to support quality system visibility and performance.High school diploma and 3+ years of experience in quality-focused role within a manufacturing or service-oriented industry.
- Experience in O&G services.
- Bachelor’s degree in technical or related field (Preferred).
- Certified Quality Auditor (Preferred).
- Knowledge of batch and continuous manufacturing processes.
- Additional certifications in quality management, such as Six Sigma or Lean (Preferred).
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 standards and experience coordinating certification projects.
- Hands-on experience in developing and implementing quality control systems.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
- Effective verbal communication and technical writing skills.
- Solid background in managing customer quality audits, registrations, and internal audits.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and interact with external clients effectively.
