Responsible to determine conformance to customer drawing and quality requirements through initial inspection, in-process machining audits, and final machining inspection as defined by inspection/test plans, and inspection reports. Maintains quality and safety standards, maintains clean organized work environment, including equipment and supplies, accurately completes all daily timesheets.
- Preform incoming and final inspection of machined components using precision measurement devices, maintains sage operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
- Maintains continuity among work shifts documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
- Documents actions by accurately completing inspection reports, and quality logs.
- Completes inspection of machined parts by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes , locations of surfaces.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprint including geometrical dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T), and material specifications.
- Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and height gauges, bore gages, test indicators.
- Inspect machined workpieces to verify conformance to specifications.
- Maintains cleanliness of workstation and surrounding area.
- Lift and/ or move up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must possess strong math skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Follows instructions both verbal and written.
- Use of Microsoft Office Suite and other basic computer skills.
Preferred candidate has experience with production type environment of machine shop.
Facility is a new, modern, clean, climate controlled facility that houses additive, and subtractive manufacturing, located just outside of Pittsburgh (Airport Area).
Position is daylight (7:00am - 3:30pm) Monday - Friday, Starting range is depending on experience, and includes paid time off, holidays after probation period of 90 days.
Successful candidates should be detail oriented , with strong math skills, and a strong attendance, and work history.
