Custom Aluminum Products, an aluminum extrusion manufacturer in South Elgin and Genoa, IL is seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician for 1st shift at our Genoa, IL location.

Job Description:

The QC Technician will monitor the quality of product within the plant in all processes until product is shipped out.

Key Responsibilities:

· Check temper on parts coming out of oven.

· Check parts to prints in all departments.

· Calibrate calipers as required.

· Pickup all gauges to be calibrated (out-sourced).

· Understand and apply control plan requirements.

· Document results in SPC program, when necessary.

· Check sample weight per foot.

· Put reject tags on non-conforming products.

· Inspect non-conforming product in all departments.

· Inspect inventory for consistency.

· Inspect returned material from customers.

· Check to make sure parts are racked according to print in the anodize and paint departments.

· Assist employees on proper way to run material.

· Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
