Quality Assurance Inspector – 2nd Shift
Shift: Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-2:30am
Overall Responsibility
•Perform Quality Assurance activities including QMS maintenance, inspections and support continuous improvements.
Key Job Duties (not exhaustive)
•Perform inspections (supplier, receiving, in-process and final).
•Maintain the SDR process.
•Maintain and analyze the NCR systems, collect and analyze the “Job Issues” sheets (internal SPS) and participate in MRB activities.
•Collect the data into various databases and periodically analyze the data and report the results to management.
•Analyze and report to management the metrics and CoQ data.
•Maintain the calibration system.
•Support waste reduction efforts (scrap, rework and other inefficiencies).
•Support safety and ergonomics, health, environmental and housekeeping activities.
•Ensure production personnel are aware of all QMS processes and train where necessary.
Required Skills and Experience
•Minimum of 1 year QA experience.
•Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Office Suite.
•Excellent communication skills.
•Knowledge of mechanical engineering drawing and models and guidelines and standards.
•Knowledge of welding and weld symbols.
•Excellent time management skills.
•Solid problem-solving skills.
•Willingness to learn electro-mechanical switchgear.
•Ability to comprehend complex and technical electro-mechanical concepts.
•Ability to operate company vehicles – must have a good DMV driving record.
Desired Qualities and Attributes
•Experience with metal fabrication, welding and painting.
•Solid Works Mechanical design skills.
•PDM, MRP or ERP experience.
•Ability to review engineering drawings for completeness and accuracy.
•Familiar with 1 3 line, point to point and electrical schematic drawings.
•Solid knowledge of drafting including ANSI Y14.
•Experience ISO-9001:2015.
•Lean Six Sigma Certified.
•Familiarity with AWS/ASME welding specifications.
•Possess a strong attention to detail.
•Be flexible with working hours to allow for occasional overtime if the job schedule requires it.
•Must be self-motivated and flexible to work well under tight schedules in a fast-paced team environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay Range: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour and an additional $3.00 Shift Differential
