Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential job duties for this position are listed below:
- Inspect purchased parts and materials, identifying defects, approving, or rejecting items, verifying material composition, checking if products conform to specifications and or standards.
- Verifies and maintains records on incoming shipments from suppliers.
- Uploads material test reports and maintains data base.
- Utilizes various inspection tools such to check dimensions on parts or raw material and ensure compliance to manufacturing drawings or specifications
- Works closely with buyers, warehouse personnel, and manufacturing to ensure that all receiving inspection activities are performed in a timely manner.
- Generates nonconformance reports and follow up with disposition verification.
- Must adhere to company policies and procedures
- Perform job duties in a safe and efficient manner.
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- High School diploma or GED
- No experience required
- Previous receiving inspector experience preferred
- Must be able to work independently
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office
- Must be able to foster and maintain excellent relationships.
- Ability to communicate and resolve issues in a professional and tactful manner.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical notes, and specifications.
- Basic knowledge of various welding processes
