- Issue purchase orders and track delivery schedules to ensure on-time fulfillment and minimize production delays.
- Review and manage supplier certifications, material test reports, and quality documentation.
- Maintain accurate and organized procurement records in accordance with internal policies and government audit standards.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure materials meet the required specifications and are available on time.
- Review and maintain MRP Exception Messages for prompt alignment with changes in demand.
- Support inventory management strategies, reorder points, and stocking levels based on usage and lead times.
- Help resolve supplier-related quality or delivery issues through coordination with the Quality and Engineering departments.
- Use MRP/ERP system (e.g., Oracle, SAP, IFS) to manage purchase orders, inventory levels, and supplier data.
- Monitor and maintain procurement metrics, lead time reports, and supplier performance evaluations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on procurement efficiency and supplier quality.
- Perform assignments as specified by supervision.- 2+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing or machining environment, preferably with defense or aerospace contracts, required.
- Strong understanding of mechanical components, machining processes, and material specifications, highly preferred.
- Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, required.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills required.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems, preferred.
- Experience sourcing custom machined components and working with technical drawings/blueprints, highly preferred.

- 2-5 years of progressive purchasing or procurement experience in Manufacturing.
