We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Purchaser to join our team. As a Purchaser, you will be responsible for managing the procurement activities related to all goods, services, and equipment required for our mining operations. The individual will work closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of quality materials while maintaining cost efficiency and inventory levels. The role requires strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities:
•Sourcing and Purchasing: Identify and source vendors for materials, equipment, and services needed for mining operations.
•Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring consistent and reliable delivery of goods and services.
•Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely procurement and avoid supply chain disruptions.
•Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other departments to determine material and service requirements.
•Cost Control: Maintain and track procurement budgets, ensuring that purchases align with the financial goals of the company.
•Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all procurement activities comply with relevant mining industry regulations and environmental standards.
Qualifications:
•Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials used in production.
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
•Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in managing purchase orders and inventory levels.
•Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong vendor relationships.
•Familiarity with sourcing strategies and market analysis techniques.
•Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
•Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
