Description: The Lease Operator works power driven pumps and equipment that transfer oil, gas and/or liquids from producing oil and/or gas wells. Under broad supervision employee will be responsible for the daily operation of all producing wells on the assigned route, maximizing the daily production for those wells and completing all daily reporting of the production through internal computer applications. Performs minor maintenance on production equipment and ensures all work is performed in compliance with Company policies and procedures including environmental, health and safety standards. Works directly with other members of the production team to ensure that Company goals are met where effectiveness is measured by meeting production goals, reduced operating costs, and/or improved safety for the Company and its employees. The Pumper may frequently work variable days off schedule. Primary responsibilities for this position include:
Detailed Description
•Routinely monitor all well batteries on assigned routes to regularly check casing and tubing pressures, gauge amount of oil, gas, and water produced by wells, and amount of time wells ran since last check
•May perform minor equipment repairs
•Oversees activities of contract crews or coordinates activities on joint ownership wells
•Abide by all health, environmental and safety programs and policies in performance of duties
•Maintains pumps and lines by replacing filters and gaskets, tightening connections, and adjusting pumps.
•Witness gauging and tests, ensuring accuracy of run tickets as required
•Transfers materials to and from storage tanks, processing tanks and trucks
Minimum Requirements
•Minimum of 3-5 years pumping experience required
•Ability to self-motivate and work independently under little supervision
•Responsible and diligent
•Personal computer experience basic excel skills, ability to use iPad and smart phone.
•Strong communication skills with ability to work in a team environment
•Must have a valid Driver’s License
•Must be able to work as assigned to rotating callout schedule after-hours and weekends/holidays
•High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
•Knowledge of ESP operations
•Must live within a 45 miles radius of the field
Physical Requirements
•Position will require working in conditions of extreme heat and cold, high noise levels, poor ventilation, fumes and gases that will require personal protective equipment and training.
•While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and carry at least 20 feet.
