The Pump Down Pump Operator works with various hhp pumps and is responsible for servicing oil and gas wells. The duties include driving the pump to location, assisting in rigging-up and down, and operating the pump at the well site. All duties are to be performed according to operating procedures to maximize safety and to efficiently perform the task.
Essential Functions of Job:
•Arrive to yard at a timely manner to ensure assigned pump unit for specific job is fueled and ready for job.
•Assist in rigging up/down equipment
•Helping direct equipment once on location, and laying out plan for rigging up frac
•Responsible for operating equipment during the job and communicating with Supervisor on how job will be performed, based on the specific conditions at the well.
•Making sure pump is all lubricants for pump are topped off in between
•Responsible for making sure they have proper ppe, and staying out of red zone while job is being performed.
•Help drive crew to and from location if needed, ensuring all are fit for duty
•All other duties as assigned
Skills you’ll need:
•Ability to work in various, sometimes challenging, weather conditions
•Experience and comfort working at heights
•Must have a "can do", customer services orientated approach
•Ability to communicate both oral and written effectively
•Must comply with all safety policies and procedures
Licenses and Certifications :
•Valid CDL with hazmat endorsement is required
