Security Dispatcher will dispatch Security Officers or service agencies, as appropriate and monitor radios, alarms, and outside cameras via the CCTV system during their assigned shift. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Determine emergency versus routine calls and dispatch/notify Security Officers, or appropriate service agencies of activities requiring their presence. Answer and prioritize internal/external security calls. Maintain daily activity log by tracking/documenting assignments, incidents, suspicious alerts, actions taken, and outcome. Prepare and submit reports, as required. Maintain communication with co-workers and service agencies. Ensure compliance with NERC requirements, as well as MLGW policies and procedures. Operate a Division vehicle and utilization of radios/surveillance equipment, computer hardware equipment, and software applications. Perform other duties as directed.

Qualifications

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

A valid driver's license from state of residence.

EDUCATION

High school diploma or General Education Development (G.E.D.) is required.

EXPERIENCE

2 years of security dispatch experience is required.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Must successfully complete appropriate NERC Certification Exam within 6 months of entering job. Must successfully complete NIMS Training within one

year of entering job. Must have an occupationally significant combination of job knowledge; leadership ability; proven analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities; customer relations skills; resource management skills; integrity; oral/written communications skills; and ability to work as a team and promote safe work practices. Physical Demands: Requires sedentary work involving standing or walking for brief periods, exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular basis; and some dexterity in operating office equipment.
