We’re looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team in Vacaville, CA—a location that offers the perfect blend of career opportunity and quality of life. As an Automation Engineer (Project Engineer III), you’ll be a technical leader and hands-on contributor, guiding complex projects in automation, integration, and industrial controls. You’ll collaborate across teams, mentor rising engineers, and play a direct role in helping our customers achieve safe, reliable, and innovative power system solutions.

What You’ll Do

•    Lead and contribute to automation projects from concept through execution.

•    Design, integrate, and support systems using PLCs, SCADA, and industry protocols (IEC-61850, DNP, Modbus, Ethernet systems, etc.).

•    Build strong customer relationships, resolving challenges and driving satisfaction.

•    Deliver high-quality results on time, on scope, and on budget.

•    Mentor and develop other engineers while modeling our values and principles.

What We’re Looking For

•    5+ years of hands-on experience in electric power systems, automation, or industrial controls.

•    Strong knowledge of protection & control, SCADA systems, and communication protocols.

•    A B.S. in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).

•    Excellent leadership, documentation, and communication skills.

•    A proactive problem solver who thrives in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred: PE license, project management experience, or utility/industrial consulting background.
