About This Job

My Client, who is located in Montgomery County, PA is in need of a Project Structural Engineer. The Project Engineer will perform and manage the design process of projects including design, analysis, construction documentation as well as conducting construction phase administration. Coordinate with CAD design team members assigned to those projects. Communicate and coordinate with clients’ goals for project. Work under the supervision of a Licensed Professional Engineer / Principal (Supervising Engineer).

No Sponsorship for this position. Must have U.S. work experience.

Responsibilities:

•

Design of projects for new construction and renovations for Commercial, Retail, Institutional and Industrial projects.

•

Perform design services required for all phases of project, from preliminary design through final construction documentation.

•

Provide construction phase services including response to RFIs, submittal review, and field observations at project sites.

•

Design and analyze using various materials including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, concrete and precast concrete, masonry and timber.

•

Perform structural engineering analyses, designs and calculations using standard methodology and principles and other viable approaches.

•

Review design approach with Supervising Engineer for projects.

•

Ensure engineering designs meet applicable company, local, state, and national codes & standards.

•

Conduct assessments and evaluations of existing structures and prepare reports. • Support technical requests from current and new clients.

•

Understand project budgets and review with Supervising Engineer.

•

Collaborate with the CAD staff assigned to projects engineering.

Qualifications & Skills:

•

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent

•

Minimum of 5-7 years of structural engineering experience, required

•

Professional Engineering, a plus. Must have good work experience without PE.

•

Proficient in structural engineering principles and practices and the application to project related issues.

•

Experience using EnerCalc, RAM Adv, STAAD, for analysis and design software, and AutoCAD/Revit
