Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a qualified Project Manager with 10+ years of experience in planning, designing, permitting and construction of drinking water and wastewater-related projects. The position will lead to an increasing level of client development and management commensurate with experience, supported by our regional offices and firm-wide technical resources.

Key Responsibilities:
•Supervising junior staff
•Lead business development activities including preparation of proposals and presentations
•High level of client development and management in our Pensacola, FL office
•Preparation of assessment and design reports
•Performing design calculations
•Equipment sizing/selection
•Preparation of construction documents, and support needs for construction management/commissioning
•The primary focus will be projects in Florida and Southern Alabama
•Fieldwork and site visits from planning through construction may be required with occasional travel
Required Qualifications:
•10 – 15 years of experience in the water/wastewater field
•Experience managing interdisciplinary teams to effectively meet the client’s needs
•Experience in successfully delivering projects with collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams
•Experience in planning, design, and construction for municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities
•Project management experience
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and capable of interacting effectively with staff, clients, and regulatory agencies
•Self-starter with attention to detail
•Strong organizational skills
•Proficiency in all MS Office based computer software
•PE license is required (FL preferred or ability to obtain reciprocity within six months of employment)
•B.S. degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
•Advanced degree (Master’s) of Science or Engineering from an ABET-accredited U.S. program (other engineering degrees considered case by case)
